Many of us think of a glass of iced tea when we feel the need for a refreshing drink. Starting April 4, 2016, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will be offering its customers a new line of tea-based beverages that are sure to quench your thirst!

I had the chance to try the new flavors of Iced Sweet Teas and Sweet Tea Ice Blended drinks before they hit the stores next week so read on to find out which are my top recommendations!

CBTL's newest cool beverages are a refreshing blend of premium iced teas with infusions of delicious fruit flavors -- the perfect solution to those craving to beat the summer heat! 

Iced Sweet Tea with Roast Beef Sandwich, Greek Salad,
and Chilled Chicken Pasta Salad

Quench your thirst with the Iced Sweet Teas served in Passion Fruit, Red Orange, and Swedish Berries flavors. The first two combine the robust Assam black tea with the citrus and tart flavors of passion fruit and blood orange. If you like mixing sweet flavors with a bit of zest, go for any of these two. The third flavor, on the other hand, is a fruity blend of hibiscus flowers, elderberries, and sweet black currants.

Among the three flavors, I like Red Orange the best. For me, it has the perfect balance of sweet and zesty. Some of my blogger friends said the Swedish Berries reminded them of berry-flavored candies from their childhood. Weirdly, my tastebuds gave me memories of a cough syrup my sister and I used to dislike! :p

Slushy Sweet Tea Ice Blended drinks

As to beating the heat with a slushy treat, try the Sweet Tea Ice Blended drinks that are available in Passion Fruit, Red Orange, and Pear Berry flavors. The third variant is made of a Swedish berries infusion that highlights delicious pear and berry notes. It was not yet available when we did the taste-testing session so I'm looking forward to trying this one out, soon. 

For now, my top favorite among the blended drinks is the Passion Fruit flavor. It is more flavorful than its Iced Sweet Tea counterpart. All drinks are perfect for pairing with CBTL's sandwiches and salads that are sure to satisfy your summer cravings!
