I find it amazing how fast Uniqlo has expanded its operations in the Philippines! It seems not too long ago when I covered their very first press con for MoneySense magazine in early 2012 and written about their other events in this blog.
This October 24, 2014, Japan's leading global apparel brand is opening its 17th store in the Philippines at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center, Makati City. I was fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of the spacious store yesterday and see the many nice outfits it has to offer its loyal customers.
Aside from the affordable and high-quality apparel for men and women, Uniqlo Rockwell also carries the Kids and Babies expanded collection in time for the 2014 Fall/Winter season (write up about the collection for adults can be found here).
This new lineup was created with the belief that "kids should be free to be kids" and is centered on five ideas that are essential in designing clothes for the little ones -- freedom of movement, comfort, easier removal, fun designs, and safety features -- all of which could help promote kids' growth and health. Needless to say, I saw a lot of cute outfits that look really comfy!
The Power Plant Mall branch aims to primarily serve Makati City residents and those from other key areas located south of Metro Manila. Since Makati is the Philippines' financial and business district that has a reputation of being an entertainment and lifestyle hub, Rockwell is an ideal location for another Uniqlo store (the other one is located in Greenbelt 5).
Uniqlo's presence in this part of Makati is envisioned to become a top-of-mind choice for discerning shoppers and mall-goers when looking for a place for their families to shop for clothes. After all, the choices there are wide and varied, making them available for all ages.
For those who are not yet familiar with Uniqlo, this brand is considered as an innovator in the global apparel industry because of its various product lines that are highly functional, made of outstanding quality, and sold at affordable prices.
Uniqlo's global brand concept called LifeWear aptly describes its apparel as "Clothes for a better life for everyone, every day."
The Power Plant Mall branch is located at the R2 level and is open from 10AM to 10PM on weekends and 10AM to 9PM on weekdays.
