This coming 2013, Amway will have a series of foot races aimed to encourage people to start and run their own Amway businesses with just P1000.
Kicking off this coming January 12 is the first 1K@Amway Fun Run at the CCP Complex in Pasay City wherein part of the proceeds from the registration fees will go the Department of Education's Adopt-a-School Program through Amway's One by One Campaign for Children.
Leni Olmedo, Amway Philippines' Country Manager, shared during the press con held yesterday that they have always believed in the capabilities and potential of Filipinos in creating better lives for themselves and their families through business opportunities presented to them. "We at Amway understand the value of more inclusive growth through entrepreneurship where Filipinos are given their own tools of productivity to generate wealth," she affirmed. "We are very optimistic about 2013 as we continue to offer more opportunities to Filipinos with the introduction of our 1K@Amway Fun Run."
She added that businesses opportunities such as theirs can help the country's economy and provide a steady growth of revenue for the business industry. "The Philippines is enjoying a strong and vibrant economic growth and we are making sure that there is a level playing field for everybody by doing direct selling the right way with Amway," explained Olmedo who assured that they are providing more means for people to earn money and create better lives for themselves.
In addition, Dulce Ricafort, Amway's Marketing Manager, shared some information on two of their leading and strongest brands which she described as safe for the environment. "Nutrilite is the only global vitamin and mineral brand to grow, harvest, and process plants on their own certified organic farms. Artistry, on the other hand, is our facial skin care and color cosmetics brand that is among the world's top five, largest-selling, prestige brands of facial skin care and color cosmetics."
With focus on emerging segments, Amway has also recently introduced the Achievers Premium Coca Mix by Figaro and Carnival, Amway's own line of perfume. "We will have booths and stations of our Amway brands in the 1K@Amway Fun Run to raise more awareness on the business opportunities we have to offer," said Ricafort.
Although they do offer business opportunities, Olmedo clarified that their company is not just about doing business because they make sure that corporate social responsibility is embedded into all its initiatives, core business strategy, and operations.
Highlighting their CSR program, Olmedo stated that they have many plans of expanding the One by One Campaign for Children as well as supporting the DepEd in its aim to further strengthen the country's educational system and make it more accessible to underprivileged children. "We are very happy to have partnered with DepEd to reach more children and provide them a chance to learn more through our One by One program. We will continue to reinforce our commitment," promised Olmedo.
Also present during the event was Merlie Asprer, Operations Manager of DepEd's Adopt-a-School Program.
