#KidsOnHOOQ Means More Cartoons and Family-Friendly Content

One of the concerns of parents with young kids is the content available on local TV. Sometimes, there just aren't good enough shows that are appropriate to be viewed by very young audiences. The thing is, children who can't wait for their favorite shows' time slots may resort to just watching whatever is on the tube at the moment, which may not be very kid-friendly.

Last week, HOOQ Philippines showcased its massive collection of family-friendly titles and animated series at the third HOOQ Hangouts, a pre-Halloween treat of the biggest outdoor cinema event series held at the Globe Iconic Store in Bonifacio Global City.

Like the previous events, HOOQ Hangouts, in cooperation with Samsung and Globe Live, turned the BGC Amphitheater into a free outdoor cinema venue with massive LED screens, beanbags, and cushioned benches so guests can fully enjoy the show. This #SpHOOQtacular event featured games and prizes for little ones who came in costumes before the screening of Monster House, an Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Feature horror-comedy produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis

Asia's pioneering video on demand service is set to quadruple its library of child-friendly content this last quarter of 2016 as it inked a new set of partnerships with the biggest names in family entertainment: Nickelodeon, Kids Like Us, Hasbro, DHX, and MoMedia to bring some of the most popular kids titles into HOOQ's catalog.

Jane Cruz-Walker, HOOQ Philippines Country Manager, affirmed that they are committed to delivering premium content for everyone in the Filipino family, and this includes entertainment for kids. "This is why we are expanding our library to have over 500 hours of kids' content over the next few weeks."

Happy Halloween from HOOQ!
Soon, little ones can watch Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Paw Patrol, Littlest Pet Shop, and Mr. Bean on mom or dad's mobile devices or tablets. If you kids are fans of Hi-5 and iCarly, they will also be able to re-watch their favorite episodes of these series.

Animated series fans would also be glad to know that HOOQ will deliver multiple seasons of Avatar, The Legend of Aang, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Fairly Odd Parents, Transformers, Spongebob Squarepants, and My Little Pony.

see you on the next HOOQ Hangouts!
"We are well aware that home viewing among young families is largely driven by children, and this addition of this huge chunk of family friendly content truly makes HOOQ a video service that caters to everyone whether they are looking for Hollywood, local content for themselves, or something fun that the kids can watch," added Cruz-Walker. "Now, every member of the family can enjoy their own favorites across multiple devices anytime."
