Slappy Cakes Eastwood: All Day Breakfast, All Day Fun!

Who doesn't love pancakes? It's one of the best comfort foods for breakfast! I like mine soft and fluffy and topped with butter and maple syrup added with a slice of fruit or two.

I've observed that kids, most especially, love eating pancakes because they can "draw" almost anything on top of them using colored syrup like those chocolate or strawberry-flavored ones. What if, you can have different kinds of pancakes any time of the day? That's now possible at Slappy Cakes because they've just opened a branch in Eastwood Mall.

Slappy Cakes originated in Portland, Oregon, USA. It is now one of the most popular breakfast spots that offers one-of-a-kind dining experience in a fun and interactive setting. Interactive in a sense that you can cook your own pancakes right at your table! Kids and kids-at-heart, like my goofy friends who drizzled all kinds of shapes on the griddle in the middle of our table, would enjoy experimenting with the different batter flavors and toppings that can be sweet or salty depending on an individual's preferences. I've just discovered that peanut butter-flavored batter is downright yummy!

Who says pancakes have to be round all the time? :)

Here's how you do it:

1. Choose a batter. They come in 8 oz. bottles/serving - Buttermilk, Whole Grain, Peanut Butter, Vegan, and Chocolate.

2. Pick some fixins - Sweet: chocolate chips, apples, mangoes, bananas, raisins, blueberries, coconut, and nutella. Savory: bacon, sausages, chorizos, smoked ham, cheddar cheese, salted duck egg, assorted mushrooms, spring onions, white cheese, cashew nuts, and peanuts.

3. Add some toppings - Honey, creamy peanut butter, lemon curd, apple sauce, chocolate sauce, spring onion sour cream, whipped cream, maple syrup, and cherry syrup.

4. Enjoy eating!

Featured on The Cooking Channel, Rachael Ray, and Women's Day Magazine, the establishment has also been awarded the title of "America's Best" by Food Network as one of American's top ten dining destinations.

Families and groups of friends would find it nice to bond over some pancake-making activities. Slappy Cakes is now in the Philippines to capture the tastebuds of Filipino breakfast aficionados. If you're not in the mood for the do-it-yourself thing though, simply order the breakfast selection with all-American flavor. In addition, Slappy Cakes has a breakfast line that's uniquely Filipino called Slappy Happy-noy.

So whether you're in the mood for an American feast or your usual Pinoy favorites, try having breakfast any time of the day at Slappy Cakes Eastwood where they are now serving all day breakfast, all day fun!
