Last Thursday, Smart Communications, Inc. held its Smart Move party at the Opus Restaurant and Lounge in Resorts World, Manila. Loyal clients and new subscribers, who have embraced the telco’s mantra of ‘Living More’, joined celebrities and members of the media at the exclusive gathering.
The festivities were hosted by Marc Nelson and Sarah Meier who asked some of Smart's celebrity ambassadors what they love about being with the network. Among them were Anne Curtis, who sported technicolored hair, and the ever-funny Ramon Bautista.
Also present was Noel Lorenzana, Smart's EVP and Head of Wireless Consumer Division. He talked about the origins of the award-winning "Live More" campaign which is powered by the Philippines' first and only 100% super-charged mobile network. He affirmed that when one is struggling with his wireless services -- a missed call, a late message, or slow internet -- he is losing time that one can't get back. "You're literally losing a part of your life," he said. "Now when your provider is able to give you the service you need, service that is both timely and dependable, you also get more time to enjoy life. You actually get to Live More.”
Three panelists, who have already made the Smart Move, were presented to guests. They were fashion blogger Ingrid Go of the Bag Hag Diaries, lawyer Rod Nepomuceno of PR firm Big Big Big, and entrepreneur Cristalle Belo-Henares of the Belo Medical Group. All of them agreed that with Smart, subscribers do indeed Live More. Each one shared their experiences with Smart, talking about how much better life has been with the wireless service provider’s reliable service and high-speed internet connection.
To showcase the company’s blazing-fast LTE speeds made possible by 4x more fiber power compared to its competitors, Smart put up demo stations around the area to let guests experience the fast connection first hand.
The mood became more celebratory as waiters carried champagne flutes with matching fireworks on each tray into the event area. Leading the toast to Living More was none other than PLDT Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan with Smart’s Chief Wireless Advisor Doy Vea and PLDT Technology Group Head Olan Peña.
Although the formal program has ended, those who opted to stay longer were entertained by DJ Callum David who rocked the night away with an uproarious set.
Aside from Anne and Ramon, other celebrities who graced the event included Jasmine Curtis, Maxene and Elmo Magalona, Rico Blanco, Billy Crawford, Vhong Navarro, Champ Lui Pio, Guji Lorenzana, Jinri Park, Bianca King, and more.
Also present were partyphile Veronica Mendez, King of the nightlife Louie Ysmael, entrepreneurs Piku Uttamchandani, Erik Cua and GP Reyes, designers Nicole Whisenhunt and Martin Bautista, as well as football stars Phil and James Younghusband.
