Last Tuesday, July 31, Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) held a trade show and presented an exciting line-up of properties during its Southeast Asia trade presentations. The event, which was held in the Philippines at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, was organized in cooperation with Pacific Licensing Studio (PLS), WBCP’s licensing representative for Southeast Asia.
There, guests got to witness firsthand as WBCP highlighted its current portfolio of upcoming movies led by Man of Steel (June 2013) and the two films based on The Hobbit -- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (December 2012) and The Hobbit: There and Back Again (December 2013), as well as animated properties featuring Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, and ThunderCats, along with many DC Comics favorite characters. The event moreover featured such classic properties as The Wizard of Oz, and television series, including Gossip Girl and The Big Bang Theory.
Many of the attendees, who answered trivia questions correctly, got to bring home some cool prizes. I went around the display area and found some really, really nice stuff which, I was disappointed to find out, are not yet available in the Philippines.
Peek into this photo album to see more of the shots I took of the products. They will awaken the child in you! I'm sure you'll also find yourself wanting to own one of those cute computer mice or the credit cards with Looney Tunes designs. Me? I'd like to wear that Superman shirt you can see on leftmost side of the photo below! :)
The presentations, which include Warner Bros. tentpole films, a strong slate of animation programming, and the sheer strength of its powerful portfolio of properties, proved to retailers, product licensees and promotional partners the unmatched business opportunities WBCP offers.
