Embracing the Gift of Motherhood at the Proudly ProMama Fair

Pregnancy is a time of changes and adjustments. Moms-to-be undergo a lot of during the months of carrying a baby in their womb. Promama, Wyeth Philippines' nutritional milk drink designed for pregnant and lactating women, recognizes the need for moms to feel pampered especially during this special time in their life.

Thus, an event called Proudly Promama Fair was recently held at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati to give moms and moms-to-be the royal treatment starting with free massages and foot spas as well as nutritional advice from experts and tips on how to dress their best.
The all-day affair was made possible in cooperation with The Spa and other mommy and baby-friendly partners like Gingersnaps, Anja, and Nail It. Guests enjoyed a variety of fun activities in booths that feature beauty, health, and fashion.

Perhaps one of the highlights of the fair was the fashion show that featured pregnant moms who got free makeovers. All of them looked really fabulous with their new looks. Each one strutted the runway with grace and confidence. Later, they were joined by event host Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan and infanticipating celebrity guests Danica Sotto, Cheska Garcia, and Angelu de Leon.

Promama was formulated to meet the increased nutritional needs of pregnant and lactating women. It contains Pro-Nutri Builders which are ingredients that support both the mom's and the child's health during the crucial months of pregnancy. These include Maternal Immunity Enhancers like Beta Carotene, which has antioxidant and immunostimulatory properties, and Vitamins C, E, and A, which also help promote good vision and cellular growth.

In addition, Promama has Fetal Mental Enhancers like DHA, a nutrient needed for a baby's visual and mental development; Folic Acid which is essential in the development of the nervous system and in preventing neural tube defects; and Zinc. As to Fetal Bone and Muscle Builders, Promama also contains Vitamin D for calcium metabolism, fetal bone growth, and teeth development; Protein, the building block of all tissues; Iron, which helps generate red blood cells that carry oxygen to all parts of the body; and Calcium, which supports bone development.
Moms are recommended to have two servings of Promama daily to help promote appropriate weight gain during pregnancy.

I wish there had been events like these when I was still pregnant with my kids. Moms these days are more fortunate. To keep updated on more promos and events for lactating moms and moms-to-be, like the Promama Philippines page on Facebook.
