In celebration of International Children’s Day, the joint programme entitled MDG-F 2030, “Ensuring Food Security and Nutrition for Children 0-24 Months Old of the Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund (MDG-F) is holding a four-day photo exhibit in partnership with SM Cares, LATCH Inc., Breastfeeding Patrol of Mandaluyong City, and the School of Design and Arts of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.
Entitled “Spotted: Mommy, Mama, Inay and Me”, the photo exhibit showcases mothers breastfeeding their children in various locations and situations, demonstrating that breastfeeding is part of everyday life. The exhibit aims to communicate the idea that a mother can breastfeed her child anywhere and anytime, and highlights the supportive environment moms need to help ensure that their children receive proper nutrition. It presents breastfeeding as a natural, normative, positive and healthy part of everyday life at home, in the community, and in the workplace.
The bottom two photos caught my attention the most.
Visit MOA and find out why :)
Catch the exhibit until November 26, 2010 at the second floor Pavilion, Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia. You really have to read all the captions to fully appreciate how all these moms are making sure their babies get the best food there is to keep these little ones healthy.
