TOMS Spring/Summer 2015 Collection Continues to Give Back One for One



One for One. That's the driving force behind TOMS, a company that matches every pair of shoes bought with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. This advocacy started in 2006 when American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended barefoot children in a village in Argentina. These little ones had no shoes to protect their feet. 


Since then, TOMS became a business that aims to improve lives. It identifies global needs and creates products to help address them. To date TOMS has already given away 35 million pairs of new shoes.


When Blake launched TOMS Eyewear in 2011, the One for One model was also applied to help restore sight to people in need with every purchase of sunglasses and optical frames. In 2014, TOMS Roasting Co. was founded with the mission to provide jobs and clean water to developing countries with the purchase of premium coffee.


This 2015, TOMS launches its Spring/Summer collection featuring a dynamic mix of bold and laid-back designs that make it easy for anyone to get into the fun and adventurous spirit of the season. Fans of the brand can choose from breezy sandals, stylish sneakers, and dressy silhouettes for men and women. There are also cool designs made for children.


Apart from the footwear, Spring/Summer 2015 also marks the launch of TOMS Bags inspired by the handcrafted bags TOMS employees bring back to the office after returning from Giving Trips in Latin America, South Asia, and Africa


The bags are colorful, artistic, and rich in details with each piece guaranteed to make a statement. The One for One component? TOMS pledges to provide a safe birth for a mother and baby in need through skilled birth attendant training and birth kits. 


On the other hand, TOMS Eyewear collection for Spring/Summer 2015 reveals sunglasses that answer customers' preferences to ever-evolving trends. Since its launch, TOMS has helped restore the sight of more than 275,000 individuals in over 10 countries by providing prescription glasses, medical treatments, or sight-saving surgeries with every pair of glasses sold. 


In addition, the initiative also helps support sustainable community-based eye care programs and holds basic eye care training to health volunteers and teachers in different countries. TOMS has moreover already provided over 67,000 weeks of safe water worldwide.
