The Chocolate Afternoon Tea Set will definitely make chocolate lovers melt with bliss because artfully placed on the first plate are a dark chocolate cheese cake, cocoa tartlets, white milk chocolate cream, chocolate trilogy millefeuille, and chocolate éclair. This comes with assorted finger sandwiches with salmon, pastrami, tuna, and cheese fillings.
Not only that, you’ll get to savor three pieces of aromatic scones and, get this, chocolate-filled empanadas! If that’s not enough, there’s also chocolate and vanilla ice cream to complete your sweet cravings.
I’d have to say though, as someone who loves anything with strawberries, that the Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set is the one I’d order again the next time I drop by New World Makati for some afternoon snacks. This set, for me, definitely satisfied my strawberry cravings! It has strawberry cheese cake, strawberry tartlets, strawberry millefeuille, and poached strawberry in dark chocolate along with assorted finger sandwiches, strawberry scones, strawberry empanadas, and strawberry and vanilla ice cream.
I swear, they are as lip-smacking as these colorful pictures show! While my friends were busy having their chocolate fixes, I concentrated more on the strawberry-flavored goodies and felt happy as a clam.
Not to be outdone though is the Coffee Afternoon Tea Set, which would surely draw coffee lovers away from their usual coffee shop haunting grounds. Have a bit of the coffee cheese cake, the tartlets with white coffee and vanilla cream, coffee millefeuille, and coffee éclair. These are great pick-me-uppers if you find yourself getting sleepy in the afternoon!
Like the other sets, this one also comes with assorted finger sandwiches, coffee scones, coffee empanadas, and coffee and vanilla ice cream.

My friends and I got to meet the creative minds behind New World’s tasty offerings. In the photo below are Executive Chef Ivan Gabrielle Chieregatti, Director of Food and Beverage Paawan Engineer, and Pastry Chef John Magtibay. They were very gracious to spend time to chat with us a bit about the exciting new things happening at the hotel.
There were seven of us who shared all three sets. The food was more than enough for all of us because there were even leftovers when we finished! The afternoon of engaging conversations with Director of Communications, Ms. Nini Icban, went by so quickly we barely noticed that it has gotten dark outside already.
