Galileo Launches FUNtastic Mathematics Activity Book

Last March 19, the Galileo Enrichment Learning Program launched a math workbook specifically designed for kids aged 3 to 6 at Powerbooks, Megamall in Ortigas.

The event was graced by well-known educator Dr. Maricar de Ocampo (one of the very knowledgeable resource persons I have had the privilege to tap in the past), Dr. Flodeliza Magday from the Department of Education, Ms. Christine Juan (Sacred Heart Sun Valley Director) and celebrity moms Tintin Bersola-Babao and Dimples Sta. Romana who both shared the positive impact of the Galileo program on their children.

My son Daniel accompanied me to the event. He listened attentively to the speakers and asked me several well-thought out questions.

The book can be used by both Galileo and non-Galileo students. It provides fun exercises and guide activities that parents and their children can do at home. Aside from the parent-child bonding, this book will fuel a child's learning experiences. Tintin Babao even stuck post-it notes on her daughter's book to show everyone the activities that Anya liked best.

FUNtastic Mathematics is available in all Powerbooks branches and other bookstores metrowide.
