Moms need a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy home life and many agree that it is important to show our mothers how much they are loved and how thankful we are for wanting the best for us and giving us everything she's got to make our lives better.
This May, F1 Hotel Manila in Bonifacio Global City Taguig pays tribute to moms by offering really nice treats for those special women in our lives.
The past weekend, I had a great time staying at F1 Hotel for a pre-Mother's Day treat with two of my kids and hubby who joined a race that night, which was held just a couple of blocks away from the hotel.
My boys and I arrived at F1 Hotel before lunch time. There, I got to meet some of the executives who have been making sure their guests experience a great stay. They shared the many plans they have of further improving their facilities and cooking up irresistible offers for their loyal clients.
Lunch was a sumptuous affair at F All Day Dining Restaurant located at the 3rd floor. The buffet spread was overwhelming! There were so many dishes presented beautifully at each section, it was very hard to choose what to eat but I gravitated towards the salad and Japanese food table. Some of the kiddie guests went straight to the chocolate fountain instead. My only regret was, being already full, I didn't get to try the halo-halo and crepe stations anymore.
After resting a bit inside our very comfortable room, my teens and I went swimming. There were three pools with varying depths so everybody, from the littlest ones up to the adults, got to enjoy the water.
At 5PM, I proceeded to the spa area where I booked a Signature Massage. Some of the facilities there were still being renovated but they accommodated me and some of my fellow moms for some relaxing pampering.
Everyone enjoyed dinner at Canary Lounge that night because we ate freshly-grilled barbecued meat and fish along with crisp vegetables that perfectly complemented them. While eating, we got to be serenaded by an acoustic band and that made the experience more special.
To aid our digestion, the boys and I walked towards the venue of the Energizer Night Run and was just in time to catch hubby crossing the finish line. It was amazing to see thousands of runners with their headlights on. From a distance, they looked like a multitude of fireflies!
That night, three of us slept soundly on the huge bed while my youngest son settled himself comfortably on the sofa. We only discovered the morning after that the sofa actually converts into another bed! Ngar! Nevertheless, my son had a restful sleep on the soft cushions.
Morning came too soon. Before breakfast, hubby and I went to check out the hotel's gym where he ran on the treadmill while I took photos and watched TV. I was in no mood to exercise because I was already hungry! :p
We had our morning meal at F and regrettably checked out at 10AM because I had to be somewhere else by 11AM. Sometime soon, it would be great to go back to F1 Hotel and stay longer. It's a really lovely place to be with family and friends.
