Papa John's: A Place for Pizza, Pasta, & Party!

In 1984, John N. Schnatter made it his goal to provide better pizzas that are made only from superior-quality ingredients. He is the founder of what we now know as Papa John's Pizza which has been known for offering better pizza made only from better ingredients.

Speaking of ingredients, I was told that Papa John's deliver homemade dough fresh to the stores. They are never frozen. The sauces are made out of vine-ripened tomatoes grown in the rich, fertile valleys of central California, and packed within an average of six hours after harvesting. Meats used for the pizza are imported beef and pork, and blended with special seasonings for a hearty texture and mouthwatering flavor.

Papa John's also uses top-class mozzarella cheese by one of America's finest cheese producers. The olives, on the other hand, come from the famous "Herrera" grove by the largest quality-focused, grower-owned olive producer in the world. In addition, the green peppers, onions, Italian variety of mushrooms and veggies are never vacuum-packed but also delivered fresh everyday to produce the brand's distinctive flavor and hearty texture.

The first Papa John's branch in the Philippines opened in Robinsons Galleria in 2010. "Since then, Papa John's has managed to gain a fast-growing group of loyal clientele who are after its distinct American taste and fresh ingredients," said Robert P. Ocampo, managing director of Berjaya Pizza Philippines, Inc., a franchisee of Papa John's International, Inc.

Aside from the big, tasty pizzas, I love Papa John's cheese sticks which actually looks like a personal-sized pan pizza topped with delicious cheeses, sliced into slender portions, and served with two kinds of dips. I like the melted butter dip very much! The chicken wings are also very tasty, you'd want to eat all the meat off the bones :) Oh, and I shouldn't forget to mention that they have yummy desserts!

The company also takes into consideration the appetite and choices of kids thus offering a variety of Jr. Papa's meals. These are composed of pizzas and pastas that come in various flavors in and in small but filling kiddie servings. For those looking for a venue for their children's next birthday party, Papa John's has party packages and cute themes you should look into!

According to Mr. Ocampo, Papa John's is aiming big and plans to build more stores in the coming years. At the moment, they have 13 stores and counting. With a booming and optimistic market, it may not be long before the brand reaches its goal and find its way into the hearts of more pizza-loving Pinoys.

They have some mouth-watering promos right now that's good for groups of 5 and 12. Choose from the following treats:

Hi Ruth,

I came across your blog on Papa Johns. If I'm not mistaken you stayed in Men's Dorm right? My guess is that you are a batchmate of my good friend Lea Civil (also DevCom). I'm also from UPLB batch '88 and graduated in 1992.

I like your blogs.
