Jeedjard Chewy Tamarind Now Available in the Philippines

One of the fruits I really like snacking on is tamarind. Aside from the delicious sweet and sour taste, it always evokes nice memories. For instance, I remember throwing stones at a big and very high tamarind tree in my grandmother's neighbor's yard. The fruits of that particular tree were really sweet so my cousins and I usually tried to bring some down by targeting them with stones.

When I was still a student in Los Banos, Laguna, I would buy the preserved  fruits sold at buko pie stands. I can't recall the brand anymore but they come in red boxes. Sometimes, I'd also buy a box of tamarind from Thailand when I see some displayed in the supermarket.

Recently, a friend sent me some Jeedjard Chewy Tamarind and I found it really good to eat! It's a healthy snack that lets you enjoy the sweet and sour taste of tamarind anytime, anywhere because they conveniently come in good-to-go packaging. Jeedjard offers soft, bite-sized, seedless candies made from fresh sweet tamarind grown in Petchaboon, a province in Thailand that's famous the world over for its delicious tamarind.

I've read that, to make Jeedjard, only the choicest harvest are selected and strict quality and hygienic standards are implemented during the production process to ensure a consistently good experience that will keep tamarind fans coming back for more. These low-caloric and fat-free candies contain no preservatives, no gelatin, and has passed FDA, GMP, and Halal standards.

Sweet tamarind, or makahm wahn in Thai, which has many nutritional benefits was traditionally used in cooking and hailed for its healing properties. The edible part of this fruit contains Calcium as well as Vitamins A, B, and C. It also contains Fiber, which helps promote good digestion. It's good to know that I can enjoy the flavor and benefits of real tamarind without the hassle anymore of cracking shells open, choosing which pods are good to eat, and spitting out the seeds.

Jeedjard Chewy Tamarind candies are available in three flavors:
> The original Jeedjard Tamarind with Plum has the natural sweet and sour taste enhanced with plum powder. It comes in 10g sachet (SPR P12.50) and 50g resealable plastic tub (SRP P50.00)
>The Jeedjard Tamarind with Spicy Plum will tickle the taste buds of spicy food lovers. It also comes in 10g sachet and 50g resealable plastic tub that are priced as the ones above.
