Jollibee's Maaga ang Pasko Campaign Honors the Jolly Toy Scouts

Filipinos are generous by nature and the spirit of giving was very much alive last Christmas season. Jollibee's Maaga ang Pasko campaign, which was already on its 17th year, was able to collect over 313,000 books and toys! This was made possible by generous partner schools, companies, and individuals who actively committed their time and effort to make a difference in making Christmas a more joyful season for thousands of kids and their families.

To recognize the valuable contribution of the Jolly Toy Scouts, Jollibee recently held a thanksgiving blowout at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where the campaign's achievements were highlighted. Aside from the toy donations gathered by the 105 partner schools and 63 partner companies, countless kind-hearted families and individuals also took part in hanging symbolic pledges on the Maaga ang Pasko tree and participating in the toy clean-up and actual gift-giving.  The trees were stationed in various SM Supermalls nationwide to encourage families to express how they will extend kindness and generosity to others during the Christmas season.

As a way of saying thank you, Jollibee presented specially designed trophies to the partner schools and companies. We were also treated to awesome performances by the Hiyas ng Pilipinas Children’s Choir, the Air Dancers, YouTube sensation Julie Ann San Jose, and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista.

According to Jollibee Vice-President for Marketing, Albert Cuadrante, it's very reassuring to see that the Filipinos’ support for Maaga ang Pasko only intensifies as years go by. "We have been doing this for almost two decades already, but each year we do better than previous years in terms of what we accomplish through the unwavering support of our ever-growing partners." With such strong positive response, he affirms that Jollibee is all the more inspired to carry on with this tradition of making more Filipinos happy come Christmas time.

With the help of other members of the Jollibee family from the different regional business units, over 3,000 children from Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Manila, Naga, and Pampanga received  their Christmas gifts of books and toys early, while donor families shared their blessings with beneficiary families through intimate gatherings hosted by Jollibee. With continuous success and commitment from generous partners, I'm sure more kids and families alike can definitely look forward to bigger Maaga ang Pasko campaigns in the years to come.
