Edit March 11: My full-length review of The 39 Steps is now up at HerWord.com :)
After the successful run of Joy Luck Club last month, Repertory Philippines now presents The 39 Steps, a delightful comic theatrical adaptation of the 1915 World War I espionage novel by Scottish author John Buchan and the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock.

This play is one of those productions that should not be missed. Imagine, there are only 4 actors on stage all throughout the story but two of them will take you on a whirlwind ride playing more than 50 characters each! The result, with the help of awesome lighting, sounds, costumes, and stage props, is a masterpiece!
The 39 Steps is directed by the very creative Ana Abad Santos. She proudly says (and I totally agree) that she has an amazingly brilliant cast in Michael Williams, Liza Infante, Rem Zamora, and Julienne Mendoza. The four actors are so great, they'll have you laughing out loud at some of the funniest antics you'll ever see on stage.
Stay tuned to my full-length review, the link to which I'll post here, in the next few days. Meanwhile, make plans to catch The 39 Steps at Onstage, Greenbelt 1 in Makati this March 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8:00 pm and March 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 3:30 pm. Despite it having an intriguing murder mystery theme, the antics are so riotous, kids and kids-at-heart aged 9 to 90 will definitely have a blast watching it. Read more about the story, the cast and the production team here.
