Appreciate the Delicate Balance Between Ice, Water and Life

The Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center (NFSDC) has a new 3D planetarium show called Ice Worlds. My son and I were invited to its advanced screening last Saturday. It was another great learning experience.

The documentary examines the ecosystems that live and thrive in the Earth's Arctic and Antartic regions and how their survival is connected with human beings' own survival. Outside the Earth, Ice Worlds also looks at how the existence of ice shapes the landscape and natural systems on other planets and moons in the solar system.

Be prepared to be amazed at the wonderful graphics and amazing footages taken in and out of our planet. Ice Worlds is narrated by Emily Watson, a two time Academy Award nominee and the star of The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.

Afterwards, enjoy the many interactive galleries inside the SDC. Every time we go there, my son never tires of checking out the exhibits and playing in several of his favorite galleries. Bring the whole family and enjoy a one-of-a-kind-experience. I'd bet your kids would ask to come back there again and again as my own kids do :)

* Watch and win cool prizes like Timelife Premium Science books and subscriptions to Discovery Magazine! Promo Period is from June 23 to July 24. Grand draw is on July 25.

* Special thanks to Ria of SDC for the invite! :)
