RACKS Debuts New Look and Opens 15th and 16th Branches in Quezon City and Alabang

For more than two decades now, homegrown brand RACKS continues to serve a great selection of signature comfort dishes that includes its famous flame-grilled, fall-off-the-bone baby ribs.

People living or working in the Timog Avenue, Quezon City area as well as near Evia Lifestyle Center, Alabang would be happy to know that their favorite slow-cooked RACKS ribs just got more accessible with the opening of the restaurant chain's 15th and 16th branches.

Both locations debut a new, cozier look "to make the RACKS experience more enjoyable and authentic," described Chukri Prieto, RACKS' Managing Director. In a media gathering held yesterday at the new Timog branch, event host Lexie Schulze shared some trivia about the casual dining restaurant and it was actually my first time to learn that RACKS stands for Real American Country Kitchen Style! So, now you know, too!

Since they serve classic southern country dishes, Chukri said they want that reflected on their restaurants' design. "In essence, what we want to do is to create a warm, homey atmosphere where people can sit back, relax, and have fun while enjoying great comfort food with their significant other, family, or friends."

RACKS' new look, inspired by southern country American life, features warm tones accentuated by dark wooden panels that dominate the new stores' interiors. There were also stone bricks that were used as pillars and covering for the indoor grills to provide a more rustic feel. I like the framed pictures on the walls that depict America's countryside, which give guests a glimpse of the kind of lifestyle RACKS draws inspiration from.

Chukri shared that their commitment to upping their game this year means a lot of surprises their loyal customers could expect in the coming days. "We're going to be so much bigger and better, all in the name of providing everyone a more authentic and comforting experience."

RACKS' famous Baby Ribs
In the meantime, let us enjoy tasting many of RACKS' delicious offerings such as its lip-smackin' Baby Ribs that were hickory-smoked in a blend of special herbs and spices to achieve that distinct, rich, smoky taste before being fire-grilled and flame-broiled to seal in all the goodness. Don't forget to slather yours with RACKS Original Barbeque Sauce for that complete ribs experience!

Angus Beef Rib Eye
Each serving of ribs comes with pasta salad, corn on the cob, and a vegetable salad drizzled with a lovely vinaigrette dressing that would whet up your appetite even more. I'd have to say I was also very enamored of RACKS' flame-grilled Angus Beef Rib Eye seasoned with signature steak rub paired with red wine au jus. The meat is really tender and tasty!

Onion Brick
Don't forget to order the best-selling Onion Brick as appetizer! This is an impressive-looking dish made of thinly sliced onion rings that were marinated, spiced, lightly breaded then deep fried to a crisp. It comes with two dips that perfectly complement the onions. Love it!

Blackened Chicken Salad
Likewise, the Blackened Chicken Salad with its creamy dressing is a must-have for salad lovers. If you like shrimp like I do, you may also want to try the savory Garlic Scampi Pasta with broccoli. It's another tummy-filling dish that will leave you sated after.

Garlic Scampi Pasta
Cap off a good meal with either the Mississippi Mud Pie, a moist chocolate fudge brownie that has gooey chocolate inside and served on a bed of thick chocolate syrup topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, or the buttery Memphis Pound Cake (said to be an Elvis Presley favorite) topped with rich raspberry preserves and vanilla ice cream.

The food portions are large and ideal for sharing so bring your loved ones when you dine in!
