SM Ladies' Fashion Awards Winners of Its 2013 Plus Size Model Search

I believe that anybody can look and feel good no matter their size. They just need confidence and clothes that fit them well. I proved that theory once again when I attended the awarding ceremonies of SM Ladies' Fashion Plus Size Model Search hosted by Suzy of Magic 89.9 at Aracama in Bonifacio Global City yesterday.

For the second year, the SM Store once more launched its Plus Size Model Search to empower and inspire plus-sized Filipinas to look and feel fashionable. The search is part of SM Ladies' Fashion's commitment to help women of all body types find the perfect outfit for every occasion. After all, women can flaunt their natural shape with chic clothes specially tailored for sexy curves. 

Bonibelle Sy, brand manager of Jus' Ur Size and Jus' Jeans said, "We want to encourage full-figured women to embrace their bodies and have fun being stylish. Through our Model Search, we can help women take pride in their curves."

Present during the event was last year's winner, 21-year-old Jenna Pertgen, who recounted her journey of having the privilege to being an SM Ladies' Fashion brand ambassador. She is more than happy to share advice to other curvy women to help them embrace the beauty of their bodies. 

The contest/promo ran from April 15 to June 16. The top 8 finalists competed for the grand prize, which includes a one-year modeling contract with SM Ladies' Fashion and a trip for two to an exciting destination.

All the 8 finalists modeled several outfits that, indeed, complimented their figures. Finally, this year's winners were announced. Congratulations to Lourdes Felix for garnering the Most Votes, Ferdeliza dela Cruz as 2nd runner up, Gufran Banajah as 1st runner up, and grand winner Barbara Bang!

Now, plus sized Filipinas can stay on top of the hottest trends through Jus' Ur Size and Jus' Jeans, the sophisticated brands that offer sexy, fashionable clothing in sizes 1L to 4L.
