Movie Review: Contagion - Nothing Spreads Like Fear

Many of us automatically go through our day to day routines without paying much attention to little things such as turning door knobs, pressing elevator buttons, or touching other surfaces. But how would we treat these seemingly insignificant acts if we're suddenly faced with an epidemic that is transmitted through physical contact and which spreads like wildfire?

The movie, Contagion, tells the story of both average people and professionals dealing with the effects of a mysterious virus that leaves its victims dead within 48 hours. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Beth Emhoff, a working wife and mother who returns home from a business trip exhibiting symptoms of an unknown illness. She dies without giving her husband, Mitch (Matt Damon), time to say goodbye.
