Giordano Philippines Celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a Circus-Themed Party

Many of us may have failed to notice it, but Giordano Philippines has already been here for 25 years! To thank its loyal customers and fans, the popular clothing brand held a celebration party that included circus-themed games and performances, a fashion show, and a concert at the Eastwood Mall Open Park last November 22, 2014.

From morning until late afternoon, guests got to play classic circus games in various kiosks in the event area. Since we got there in the early evening, we didn't get a chance to witness the fortune telling and mechanical bull riding activities aside from the presence of circus characters such as clowns, mimes, stilt walkers, magicians, unicyclists, and many more.

Come nightfall, Giordano opened its 25th Anniversary Circus Party on stage with performances by a couple of acrobats and a dance show by Follies de Mwah. After the fashion show, a group of fire dancers also wowed the crowd with their daring moves.

Next came the fashion show featuring Giordano's 2014 Fall/Winter Collection. It showcased classic, perfect-for-the-chilly-weather pieces like oxford shirts, Breton tops, long-sleeved tees, denim, khakis and polos.

The outfits were paraded on the runway and worn by top models Ria Bolivar, Jasmine Maierhofer, and Justine Gabionza along with others including several children who strutted as confidently as their older counterparts.

Award-winning fashion show director Ogee Atos took the shows reins while stylist Charmaine Palermo and makeup artist Lourd Ramos made up and styled the models.

Capping off the event was a concert which featured Filipino music artists Brownman Revival, Franco, and Giordano ambassador Rico Blanco whose last performance for the night was the crowd pleaser Giordano theme song, ‘World Without Strangers’. Read my other blog post where Rico talked about his journey in writing the song.

Mr. Larry C. Lim, Giordano Philippines’ CEO and President, thanked everyone who joined in celebrating the milestone. He acknowledged, "Giordano has evolved so much over the past two decades, and Filipinos have been a huge part of the brand’s success. When Giordano first opened here in the country, we never thought that we would sign on celebrities, much more a song composed by Rico Blanco.”

He further shared, “We look forward to the next two decades and more, and our customers can expect more timeless and classic pieces from us in our future collections.”
