Earlier today, one of my sons and I were at SM Aura and covered the Gold Rush game at the SM Supermarket. It was done simultaneously in 8 SM Supermarkets and 2 SM Hypermarkets. I bought some items to gain a "golden ticket" and found the supermarket in Aura a pleasant place to buy groceries from. The aisles are spacious and the staff are helpful so it was easy to find where specific products are displayed by just asking them.
The first 200 customers who completed their shopping at the checkout counters starting 3PM got one coupon for a free Magnum Gold bar and a chance to take home a golden MP3 player locked inside a safe. Players have to guess the right combination to open the safe and claim the prize.
Nobody from our bloggers group won the coveted gadget but we did get to try Magnum Gold one day before it is sold to the public. The "gold bar" is made of vanilla ice cream with sea salt caramel and coated with golden Belgian chocolate. Pure indulgence!
We heard that they also gave away free Magnum for the first lucky 100 people who just happen to be at the SM Cinema area,
Starting February 10, 2014, Magnum Gold Bars will be available in all SM Supermarkets, SM Hypermarkets, and Savemore Markets in Metro Manila while Magnum Gold will be available beginning February 17 in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao SM branches.
Here's additional good news: buy two Magnum Gold bars at SM for only P100! This promo is available until February 28 only though so make sure you look for the Selecta freezer when you go grocery shopping to #GRABtheGOLDatSM!
