Nowadays, we choose convenience over price as much as we can. After all, in this fast-paced life, time is considered a valuable thing and we'd rather spend a few extra bucks than be bothered with long waits or extended travel. You know how bad traffic can get around Metro Manila, right? So,what if you can get the convenience you need at prices you can afford?
Resorts World Manila (RWM), located at Newport City in Pasay, has a new addition to its lodging brands next to the all-suite Maxims Hotel and the 5-star Marriott Hotel. Remington Hotel is now also open to provide guests with a pleasant and affordable stay. It is conveniently located just across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 3 and is very accessible to the many amenities that Newport City has to offer. I had a chance to stay in one of the standard rooms for one night and found it a great place to unwind. Each room has two queen-sized beds, air-conditioning, in-room WiFi, in-room safety box, shower and bathroom, hot and cold water, power sockets, electronic key lock, telephone, luggage storage and daily housekeeping services.
Aside from the 623 standard rooms, Remington Hotel also has 89 units of serviced apartments which feature a queen-sized bed, sofa bed, dining table, cooking facilities, microwave oven, and refrigerator. The hotel is moreover equipped with electronic access key room cards, CCTV cameras, and trained round-the-clock friendly staff.
In between resting on one of the soft beds in my room, my friends and I also got to do a lot of stuff around the RWM vicinity. First, we went on a tour of Maxims hotel which has very impressive rooms and a great pool area. Next, we visited GameZoo, a two-storey funhouse that showcases an impressive line-up of games and activities for the whole family. We got to try the 6D Rider which featured a movie clip that we watched using 3D glasses. It's called 6D because we got bombarded with drops of water, cold air, and even "snow" during the show. It was fun to hear a lot of surprised screams and giggles which made us feel like young children again. I can't wait to bring my kids there so they could also try it out. I'm sure they will be impressed with it as much as I did.
We ate dinner at a restaurant inside the Casino area. The food is really good and we finished the meal with satiated smiles. Before our group went back to Remington Hotel to freshen up a bit, we also had a cup each of gelato ice cream at Maxims Cafe and they are lip-smacking delicious!
The group agreed to meet at Club 360 around 10PM. There, we got to watch The Draybers, a band with an impressive repertoire of foreign and OPM songs that had many of us singing along. They are really good! Personally, I didn't want their performance to end. It was so nice just listening to them. Too bad we didn't get to take any photos because cameras are not allowed inside the casino.
Expectedly, I had a very good night sleep after checking emails and doing some work on my laptop. In the morning, my friends and I gathered downstairs where we got to choose delicious offerings from the breakfast buffet. That was a great way to conclude my stay in Remington as I had to leave earlier than the standard checkout time of 12NN.
Do consider staying at Remington Hotel with your family or if you're in between flights. It's a great option for cost-conscious travelers who are in Manila for business or pleasure. It's also ideal for families and friends who may, or may not be, visiting from abroad and who are looking for affordable lodging accommodations that don't compromise on quality and service.
