Savour Australian Beef, Cheeses, and Wine at New World Makati Hotel

Australia is one of the best sources of high quality beef. I've proven that for myself this past year as my family switched to buying Australian beef every time we'd go grocery shopping. Aussie beef is faster to cook and is very tender. Read more about it in my other blog write ups, here

I can also attest to the great quality of the Australian wines I've tried because two years ago, we had a Chinese food and Aussie wine tasting at New World Makati Hotel where I found one particular variant that remains my favorite to this day. You can read about that one, here.

This October and November, the chefs at New World Makati Hotel, in partnership with the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the State Government of Victoria, Australia, are sharing their expertise on high quality meats, wines, and cheeses via Savour Australia.

A couple of days ago, my husband and I, along with some friends, had the privilege to meet Executive Chef Robert Davis and Guest Chef Tim Hollands with a curated wine and cheese pairing along with a sneak peek of the special menu items that would be exclusively available during the three-week promotion.

As a special finale, New World Makati Hotel presents fine Jindi and Ashgrove cheeses from Victoria and Tasmania, which may be paired with De Bortoli DB Family Selection Wines at The Lounge. Personally, I'd always recommend Brie because it's one of my top choices for cheese, but I also fell in love with the Ashgrove Lavender Cheese that has such a lovely aroma and mild taste.
