ZALORA Opens First-Ever Digital Pop-Up Store in the Philippines

I like to shop but I sometimes have misgivings buying clothes and shoes online because I worry that the things I'd like to buy would not fit me well when they arrive on my doorstep. I prefer trying on stuff first and seeing how they look on me before I do decide to make a purchase.

try before you buy
Those who identify with this sentiment would be happy to know that Asia's leading online fashion destination, ZALORA Philippines, has officially opened the doors of its ZALORA Pop-Up Store the other day at EDSA Shangri-la Mall. This very first digital pop-up store in the country represents the company's latest efforts in building e-Commerce using an omnichannel approach to help customers get into online shopping.

Paulo Campos, Co-Founder and CEO of ZALORA Philippines, affirmed that the pop-up store marks another milestone in their company's young history. "Since we started operations in 2012, we continued to look for innovative ways to grow e-Commerce in the Philippines and, through this initiative, we hope to widen our customer reach, educate them on the benefits of online shopping, and dress them in the latest fashion trends, in the quickest and most convenient way possible."

wide variety of choices for women
Today's consumers are constantly on the move and brands find it a challenge to grab their attention. Thus, ZALORA Philippines believes in using various channels to effectively reach new customers and ease their doubts about shopping online through a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

The ZALORA Pop-Up Store occupies 235 square meters. It looks like a typical boutique with clothing racks, mannequins, and changing rooms. Inside, the store is filled with well-curated fashion clothing and accessories from the company's extensive collection of top international and local brands and home-grown fashion boutiques.

lots of choices for men, too!
Similar to what customers find online, customers are given access to this extensive catalogue with the added benefit of being able to see, touch, and fit the products we want before we decide to buy anything. Win-win, right?

The unique feature of this store is that all transactions are done online using tablets, phones, and laptops found inside the shop. Once you have chosen and paid for an item, it will be delivered to your home, taking away the hassle of carrying bags that usually come with every shopping foray.

you still transact online inside the store
Bringing the best of both worlds, customers are given the confidence of traditional shopping along with the ease and convenience of online shopping in one innovative venue. "With the ZALORA Pop-Up Store, we are now bringing our products closer to our customers while still keeping the convenience of online shopping," described Campos.

ZALORA Philippines has also partnered with Globe Telecom to give customers access to the online shopping portal on mobile devices where they can choose from over 65,000 products to satisfy their fashion fix. That's like having a fashion store in your pocket!

Through this partnership, Mobile and Tattoo postpaid customers can access ZALORA and other e-commerce sites for P299 a month by availing of the Shopping Bundle that can be added to one's postpaid plan for the complete digital experience.

"As the driving force behind making the country as the 'digital lifestyle capital of the world,' we are excited to collaborate with ZALORA to further grow the e-Commerce industry in the country with a game-changing offer that enriches the postpaid plan experience of our mobile and broadband customers," shared Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe Telecom.
