Give in to Filipino Cuisine Cravings at The Legend Villas' Lola Maria Restaurant

Filipinos love food. And while we do enjoy exploring the tastes of other countries' cuisines, we always find ourselves craving for what our palates grew up with. I am so glad to have the opportunity to have lunch at Lola Maria Restaurant at The Legend Villas last weekend because this place serves Filipino cuisine ala Fiesta style with that "lutong bahay" touch that is rare in many restaurants today.

Lola Maria Restaurant at The Legend Villas
Lola Maria Restaurant offers all-day dining with Filipino cuisine and select international dishes. If you've been looking for somewhere to bring your family, or even balikbayan friends and relatives, for a great meal, this is one of the places you should go to.

Seaweed (Lato) Salad with bagoong sauce
Let me rave first about the Seaweed (Lato) Salad with bagoong sauce. The taste is so good, I went back for seconds! If there weren't other dishes to try, I would have stuffed myself with this dish (and rice!) alone.

Fish Pinipig
But I also enjoyed munching on the Crispy Kangkong as well as the Fish Pinipig, which is kinda unique because it's the first time I've tried this kind of appetizer. If you're a fan of crunchy Pork Chicharon, feel free to grab several pieces, too!

Appetizers and salads with Sinigang sa Manok soup
There are a lot of Filipino dishes served at Lola Maria that you'd probably also love to eat. Among the choices are Fresh Lumpiang Hubad, Pancit Canton, Lechon Paksiw, Chicken Pastel, and many more.

Lechon Paksiw and Chicken Pastel
Because I wanted something warm in my tummy, I zeroed first in on the delicious Sinigang na Manok. I'm not sure if this was the first time I actually ate sinigang with chicken meat as we always use pork at home when cooking, but I very much enjoyed this one.

As for dessert, we couldn't say no to making our own Halo-Halo! This is really awesome because you get to choose which ingredients you'd like to have in your bowl!
