Unwind with a Megarita at Murray's New Orleans Where It's Always Mardi Gras

If you'e looking for a good place to unwind with friends after a long day at work, head on to a Murray's New Orleans branch! Some of my friends and I were at Resorts World last night and got to experience a bit of Mardi Gras.

New Orleans Bar and Restaurant serves Cajun and Creole inspired dishes that titillate the taste buds with exotic flavors. Customers do have a great time because the restaurant brings back the best things about New Orleans as it celebrates the fun of the iconic Mardi Gras every night.

Witness a bartender's flaming juggling act and catch the sultry Mardigrettes perform three times a week in the following branches: Resorts World's Teaser Tuesdays, Robinson's Magnolia's MardiDocs Thursdays, and Mall of Asia's Jive Fridays.

What surprised me about the Mardigrettes was finding out that they are actually New Orleans staff members who were handpicked and underwent a six-month scholarship training program at FTX Gym under Ed Aniel of Pole Academy Philippines. Thus, these ladies can perform on stage along with their usual work routines. They are Mara, the receptionist; Jona, the bar maid; Gella, the cashier; and Jersey, the server.

Aside from the live entertainment and, of course, good food, you can also now have a taste of the Megarita, a new addition to New Orleans' already extensive and diverse bar list. As its name implies, the Megarita takes the classic margarita to new heights figuratively and literally because it comes in a huge glass! Unlike any cocktail imaginable, the Megarita's refreshing alcohol concoction delights not only the palate but also the eyes.

Have a taste of paradise in the generous serving offered in a specialized New Orleans chalice. The Megaritas come in such pretty colors and are available in tropical and invigorating flavors of Pink Grapefruit, Pomegranate Breeze, Midori, Cadillac, Raspberry, Blueberry, Pink Lady, and Electric Blue. I tried the Pomegranate and Raspberry flavors in moderate sips and love how they came with real cherries and strawberries which add to the burst of flavors dancing in the mouth.

Good times! Pic grabbed from Myke's Instragram
Each glass of Megarita sells for P299 but if you buy for two, you'll only pay P550. The Megarita is available in all Murray's New Orleans branches in Bonifacio High Street, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Mall of Asia, Newport Resorts World Manila, Harbor Point Mall Subic and SM Lanang Davao.
