Coca-Cola Caravan & Araneta Center Usher in Christmas

Christmas is a big deal in the Philippines. In fact, we are known all over the world as the country with the longest Christmas season. As early as the first week of November, right after Halloween, houses and establishments are excitedly decorated with holiday paraphernalia in preparation for Christmas and the New Year.

A few hours ago, a lot of Filipinos witnessed the annual Araneta Center Giant Tree Lighting at the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan in Cubao, Quezon City. Kids and kids-at-heart enjoyed welcoming the coming holiday season together with celebrities who performed on stage to the delight of the audience. Guests were also treated with tummy-filling snacks from different food booths as well as Coca-Cola beverages.

The highlight of the occasion, of course, was the lighting of the giant Christmas tree that stands 100 feet tall and is adorned with more than 10,000 lights plus Coca-Cola Christmas balls, huge ribbons, and colorful gift boxes that served as accents and ornaments. Boxes were also provided for donations to kids who are being cared for at Manila Boystown.

Coca-Cola ambassadors Kathryn Bernardo, Joseph Marco, Julia Montes, and Enchong Dee helped give away special raffle prizes packaged in big, red boxes containing Christmas treats that winners can share with their families and friends. Other young stars both from ABS-CBN and GMA came as well as Pinoy bands Aspog and Sponge Cola.

Consumers are encouraged to join the Coca-Cola Christmas Box Surprise Promo where one can win Noche Buena gift boxes, Coca-Cola products, Bench certifications, and cool gadgets like iPads, digital cameras, PS3s, Wii, and more.
